Excessive sweating or Hyperhidrosis as it is also known, is a common, embarrassing condition that causes the body to over produce sweat. 
Excessive sweating can be caused by some hormonal or metabolic conditions.

Although high temperature, stress, anxiety and exercising can naturally trigger the sweat glands, people that suffer from hyperhidrosis will constantly be aware of excessive perspiration regardless of these factors feeling uncomfortable and embarrassed.

You can reduce excessive sweating or hyperhidrosis by following these tips:

  • Use clinical highe-strength deodorants and antiperspirants
  • Avoid spicy, fatty foods and alcohol
  • Exercise regularly
  • Wear loose non restrictive fabrics, avoid man-made fibres like nylon and polyester and wear cotton fabrics “breathable fabrics?

Axillary Hyperhidrosis is a medical problem that involves more sweating than what is required by our body. Axillary Hyperhidrosis is caused by over activity of the sweat glands and is present in 1% of the population and a family history is present in 30 to 50 % of patients suggesting a genetic component.
