Non-Surgical Facelifts and Skin Treatments in Berkhamsted | Make-Up Hacks for Simple Routines

According to Statista, £9.8 billion was spent in the UK on cosmetics in 2017. That places us amongst the top three consumers of beauty products in Western Europe. It’s a massive industry as leading brands compete with high street names. Regardless of which products you prefer, the main reason behind purchasing make-up is to make ourselves look and feel good.

Cheek Medispa is a leading skin clinic that focuses on making our larger number of clients from Berkhamsted stand out as radiant and youthful. Our skin treatments, laser hair removal, fat freezing, non-surgical facelifts, infrared therapy and dermal fillers are all designed to enhance and uplift mind, body and spirit.

Simple Make-Up

You don’t have to spend a fortune. We recommend investing in good quality products that will last. The following tips are handy for keeping your collection to a minimum whilst getting the most out of each item.

Lipstick
Everyone has a favourite brand and colour. But, did you know you can use lipstick as a blush as well? Blend a small amount onto your cheek bones to highlight the area. An ideal tip for when you don’t want to carry all your make-up around.

Concealer
Have you run out? Dab some foundation lightly under the eyes with your little finger – you’ll automatically use less strength – or over any blemishes. Use foundation from the cap rather than the tube or bottle, it’s thicker.

Eyeliner
Quick tip! Freeze your eyeliner to stop it breaking when you use it.

For convenience, we recommend eyelash and eyebrow tints as they are semi-permanent. Both are available, along with eyelash extensions, at our skin clinic. For more information about Cheek Medispa’s make-up and skin treatments - along with our highly regarded non-surgical face lift, dermal fillers, infrared therapy, fat freezing and laser hair removal procedures – please contact our highly knowledgeable staff.

Make-Up Remover
If you do run out, don’t grab soap or handwash. Baby shampoo contains the same ingredients as products designed for removing eye make-up. Petroleum jelly is another solution. For foundation, baby oil or your daily moisturiser will work just as well as cleanser. Some products advertise that they’re suitable for both cleansing and moisturising.

Brushes
It’s essential to keep make-up brushes clean in order to prevent blemishes and a build-up of dirt on your skin, and washing-up liquid or shampoo will do the job. Invest in a cleaning mat to thoroughly wash the bristles. Rinse out and allow the brushes to dry naturally.
